  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

French Foreign Minister: "Israel is Not Interested in Peace Deal"

As the Israeli leadership is busy running after the Americans and gaining their approval and just before Netanyahu's planned meeting with his French counterpart at the Elysee Palace, French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner harshly criticizes Israel: "Israel is not interested in a peace agreement in the Middle East"

As Israel is busy finding favor in the eyes of the Americans, criticism against the Israeli government comes from an unexpected source: French Foreign Minister Bernard Kouchner slammed Israel for its ongoing building in the territories and said that "Israel is not interested in a peace agreement in the Middle East".

Kouchner made his comment during an interview on the French 'Inter-Radio', leading up to Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's upcoming visit to France on his way back from the United States. Kouchner said during the interview that he does not expect any new developments in Israeli-Palestinian negotiations in the near future.

"What really hurts me is that this time, there was genuine support for peace within Israel. There was a strong leftist government and a desire for lasting peace. It appears to me – and I hope I am totally wrong – that this desire has faded, as if people do not believe in it anymore".

It should be noted that Sarkozy's government has invested much effort in maintaining good relations with Israel in order to have a greater influence on the peace process in the Middle East.

Ever since Netanyahu's election, however, Sarkozy and his ministers have voiced constant criticism against Israel's presence in the territories. Kouchner stressed during the interview that the continuous building in the territories is the main cause of the chilled relations between Israel and France. "There is a vast difference of opinion on this subject", Kouchner said.

  1. 4. French Criticism

Is is surprising that the french would bash Israel? The french are a bunch of cowards. Most nations, when they have been attacked, have defened themselves, and if they have gained territory from the attackers, have never given it back. World War II is a good example. Has Russia given land back to Poland and Poland to Germany. In this case, Russia was wrong to have taken land from Poland and the UN has never insisted that Russia return this land. The USA has never given back back Azrizona, N.M or much of California to Mexico. Most of the world is anti-semetic and I believe this is behind the double standard that Israel must face practically every day. Now that America has a muslim president it is only going to get worse.

Israel gave up land in Gaza and other parts of the country. So tell me what they received in return? Bloodshed.

Israel has NEVER been interested in peace.. unless it is spelled "PIECE". From the beginning, Israel has been the aggressor, the murderer of Palestinians and the boil on the backside of the Arab world. Israel, with our money, is the pitbull of the U.S. government
