This Evening: The Belzer Rebbe shlit’a Makes the “Kevios Shiur” for Thousands of Disciples
With the participation of thousands of disciples the Admor of Belz shlit’a will deliver tonight words of holiness and open the Winter Zman. Tomorrow: The study sessions will begin as scheduled.

This evening, at 7:00 PM, thousands of Yeshivah students and Kollel avreichim from among the Belzer chassidim will gather for a special event called the “Kevios Shiur,” which will take place in the large sanctuary of the Beis Midrash of the Admor of Belz shlit’a in Kiryat Belz, Jerusalem.
The day of “Kevios Shiur” is a custom of many generations; it’s the day that begins the new session in Yeshivos and Kollelim. This day is celebrated in Belz as a special day, yoma d’pagra, in which Tachanun is not recited. At the time of the “Kevios Shiur” the Rebbe shlit’a will make a Tisch in which he will make a blessing of “L’Chaim” and provide his blessing to thousands of disciples.
In every concentration of Belzer chassidim in the world the Yeshivah students and Kollel avreichim will gather to listen to the holy words of the Rebbe shlit’a in a live broadcast at the time he delivers them in the “grosse shtub” (the great sanctuary) in Jerusalem.
The learning session already began in the Yeshivos immediately after Simchas Torah, but the sederim and the regular shiurim are determined only after the day of “Kevios Shiur” – starting tomorrow.
It should be noted that a special lecture for the opening of the zman was delivered last week by HaGaon HaChassid Rabbi Pinchas Friedman shlit’a, the Rosh Kollel of the Belzer Kollelim, in the sanctuary of the Yeshivah Gavohah “Birkas Aharon” of Chassidei Belz on Har Chotzvim in Jerusalem, on the occasion of the start of the learning session.
