  • The Mission Continues

As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

Deputy Health Minister MK Rabbi Yaakov Litzman made a long and exhaustive tour at the Hala Institute, a woman’s health clinic in Jerusalem, named after Rachel Nash, and closely inspected the activities of the Institute in the early diagnosis of cancer in women. The Deputy Minister was accompanied by the Ministry’s staff headed by Dr. Eitan Hai-Am, the Director General of the Health Ministry.

The Hala Institute deals with the diagnosis of diseases among women on the highest level by an expert, experienced, and top-notched medical team, using advanced and innovative methods in the field.

Cancer among women is one of the most lethal diseases in the Western world. Experts maintain that early diagnosis is the most effective means to eradicate the disease; early detection is often a question of life or death.

Recently, after twelve years of activity and the testing of 100,000 women at the Institute, Hala Institute is marking an important milestone and announced their intention to double the annual examination system by establishing a new advanced center that will provide a suitable solution to tens of thousands of women from all over the country to undergo an examination, while preserving the level of high quality and the most advanced technology.

The Deputy Minister and Director General of the Ministry were deeply impressed by the visit and by the advanced diagnostic methods utilized by Hala. Litzman said that the promotion of early diagnosis is extremely important and that the issue of women's health should be made a top priority in public health. "My door is open to welcome enterprises such as Hala Institute,” said the Deputy Minister. He promised that the Ministry of Health will boost the development of the Institute, the implementation of modern technologies, and the advanced means of diagnosis, so that they could continue to bring women’s health in Israel to level of international quality.

Prof. Hava Tabenkin, Chairman of the Women's Health Committee in the Ministry of Health, who participated in the tour, said that Hala Institute has earned international recognition for leading in the field of early diagnosis and the Ministry of Health will continue to aid in every way.
