    As in the past so it remains today - we were and still are under the selfsame commitment to adhere to the directions of the Gedolei Yisrael, who stand guard against breaches of purity threatening our camp. When we were required to ask – we asked. When we were instructed to depart – we left. The moment we are summoned back to raise the flag, every other consideration is pushed to the side and we answer: We are ready!

Oslo: Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony Has Begun

In Oslo, Norway, the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony has begun. The President of the United States, Barak Obama, will receive an award for his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples."  Obama is the 3rd US President to receive the award.
Israeli scientist Ada Yonath will receive an award for her work in the field of chemistry, becoming the 4th woman ever to receive that award.
